Fast Facts for a successful Interview
By following these simple tips you will have a leg up on your competition. Some of these tips will sound remedial, but you wouldn’t believe how many people fail before the interview even starts.
- Be 10-15 minutes early
- Bring a copy of your resume even if the interviewer already has one
- Dress professionally even if the job you are applying for is casual
- Be neat and tidy
- Have a bottle or cup of water with you
- Shoes should be polished
- Tattoos and body piercings should be out of site
- Cologne or perfume should not be worn
- Jewelry should be kept to a minimum
- Always shake hands with the interviewer and smile
- Speak appropriately and don’t use slang terms
- Keep eye contact with the interviewer as much as possible
